Around 1% of the UK population is said to suffer from coeliac disease, or celiac disease as it is known in North America, and it is an auto-immune disease that affects the gastrointestinal tract and sufferers can alleviate some of the symptoms by completely cutting out gluten from their diet. Gluten free wedding cakes may also be known as coeliac cakes and are made with coeliac-friendly ingedients including naturally gluten-free cereals such as rice flour, potato flour, soya flour, cornflour, tapioca flour, cornmeal, among others. Gluten can come in many different forms and we are careful to ensure that our gluten free cakes and gluten free wedding cakes are carefully baked in a separate area of our cake studio to avoid any cross contamination.
